Another Black day in the state of West Bengal.
The Frankstein unleashed by the CPM in West Bengal showed its face and brought life to mayhem and a standstill in parts of central Kolkata.
Only this time the boot was on the other foot.
Hooligans belong to no group or party.they are a class apart and are used by all and sundry to create chaos.
This time it was expressed through brickbats and setting fire to vehicles, something the CPM or Trinamul, have
shown effectively in the past- be it in Bandhs or in rising of busfares or any other reason.
Buddhadev was a bit more sensible this time by restraining the policemen from firing.
The miscreants used the minority card to the best benefit , something the politicians as past masters, have
used time and again, be it the anti Sikh riots, or the Babrimasjid aftermath.
The might of Hooligans best shown in Nandigram was used against the CPM yesterday with florish and
charm.
Like the Taliban who used American arms and missiles against the Americans these miscreants used
CPM brand Hooliganism against the benign administration.
Helpless citizens, Schoolchildren, all saw the fury unleashed in front of them, the army called in was also
a spectator to the chaos, curfew was imposed and life tottered back to normalcy.
PAID BACK IN THEIR OWN COIN....... a phrase which came back to haunt the CPM...who are master
at chaos.
Nothing they did was new to the people of calcutta, buses and cars burnt, people running for shelter,
brickbating, lathicharges, all very common like the morning tea, which we can see almost every bandh day in calcutta.
So why this big hue and cry....why this media uproar....why this discussion....maybe because the perpratators were not part of the CPM.... or were they??? who knows because shifting the track from Nandigram will benefit them the most.....
Any way, let us get back to work and take it in our stride.
We have started the mess..... and have to live without it.....
Another peace march by intellectuals, and trafic mayhem, and life will go on as usual.
